PROVIDER SERVICE COORDINATOR
JOB TYPE:
Full Time Employment (a job working 40 hours per week or more)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Complete all facets of regular provider compliance reviews as assigned by the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) which includes:
- –Follow the compliance review tool and review process as prescribed by DODD.
- –Provide technical assistance to providers who received citations.
- Facilitate special provider compliance reviews as requested by the County Board and as assigned by DODD.
- Performs Individual Fund Review for individuals receiving assistance with personal funds management in accordance with the WestCON policy and procedure.
- Facilitate special Individual Fund Reviews as requested by the County Board.
- Provide technical assistance and/or training to providers who are managing the personal funds of an individual.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of rules and regulations that affect provider operations and training.
- Assist with provider recruitment activities through means including but not limited to word of mouth, referral, provider list serves, postings, trainings, collaboration with other agencies, independents and COGS, and in conjunction with staff from county boards with a focus on the board’s strategic plan.
- Maintain records through daily communication and various tracking sheets / systems.
- Participate in MAC billing process.
- Work collaboratively with DODD to troubleshoot issues for both providers and county board.
- Coordinates the Request for Provider process and provides consultation services to waiver providers as needed.
- Other duties as requested or required that are considered legal and in line with the expected tasks and duties of this position.
EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field, including experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
- Appropriate experience preferred in all areas of the position description.
- Ability to read, review, and analyze written material and data for compliance with local, and state standards
- Excellent communication and writing skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- High degree of initiative and ability to work independently without close daily supervision
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Standing or sitting for periods which may exceed one hour.
- Occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Simple grasping, light pushing/pulling and/or fine manipulation of left and right hands.
- Reach above shoulders, frequently, both sides.
- Eligible for certification from DODD.
- Must maintain a valid Driver’s License and maintain a status of insurability for motor vehicle insurance.
- Reliable transportation is required.
- Required medical examination upon offer of employment which requires freedom from substance abuse.
- Required Bureau of Criminal Investigation background check upon offer of employment.
